Homeless & Food Bank Projects
The number of homeless people in Britain is soaring by more than 1,000 a month. The total number reached 320,000 last year, according to research released by homelessness charity Shelter. The largest increase in homelessness in England was seen in the West Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber, and the northwest.
Statistics show that 4,428 people – one in every 633 people – in the Manchester region, no longer have a permanent roof over their heads. There is anything between 90 to 200 people sleeping rough in Manchester City center every night.
In the City center, the homeless community sleeps under bridges, and shop fronts and there is a night shelter they can access at a cost of £12 per night.
Al-ihsaan Trust is providing warm food, hot drinks, sleeping mats, and sleeping bags which are regularly requested and needed by the homeless community.
This project is desperately needed as without charities’ support the homeless community does not have access to any food or shelter. With temperatures already plunged to sub-zero, snow and severe weather conditions have exposed members of the homeless community to lose their lives.
Save lives with Al-Ihsaan Trust. Your contribution of £10 can make a difference between life and death for the homeless community.
