UK Poverty Financial Assistance

In the UK Rising prices could mean an increase in absolute poverty and material deprivation. The Resolution Foundation estimates that absolute poverty will rise in 2022/23 by 1.3 million including 500,000 children.
The Covid-19 crisis has driven disadvantaged households further into poverty.
The cost of living crisis is set to push many more people into poverty as soaring prices hit low-income households the hardest.
It means many will struggle to afford the food they need and be forced to rely on food banks. The Trussell Trust gave out 2.1 million emergency food parcels between April 2021 and March 2022, an increase of 14 percent compared to the same period between 2019 and 2020.
Therefore it’s clear that like many poor world countries we need to also work together to help those in need even within the UK.
